About
After graduating from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, she relocated to Sarasota to take a position with Heitman Retail Properties as Marketing Director. Janet has spent over two decades developing local knowledge and personal connections that she is glad to share.
Besides Michael Saunders & Company, Janet has worked in various commercial real estate/marketing positions at Sarasota Square Mall, Southgate Plaza, Kellogg & Kimsey Construction, The Colony Beach & Tennis Resort and her own business I am Woman Personal Brand Imaging. Janet’s passion outside of real estate includes running/ walking on the beach, pilates, drawing, reading and spending time with family and pets. She has also enjoyed working with charitable organizations such as: Moffitt Cancer Research, Sarasota and Bradenton YMCA, Girls, Inc., Asolo Repertoire Theatre, Donte’s Den and the Ringling Museum.

Steve has lived on Longboat Key for over 25 years, where he and Janet have raised their two daughters. After graduating from the University of Florida, Steve started in enterprise technology sales.
His experience has enabled the Walter Group to leverage sophisticated digital marketing strategies that put the property in front of the right buyer at the right time. This has led to attracting buyers from all over the country.
One of the most rewarding aspects of helping clients experience the Sarasota Islands’ lifestyle is showing newcomers the area by boat. It allows for special showings, including the property and the Longboat Key outdoor experience.
When not working in (and on) Walter Group, Steve enjoys volunteering his time to aid in disaster relief. Steve has had many deployments with Samaritan’s Purse and Christ Church of Longboat Key to help hurricane victims recover.
